Through adolescent eyes – Parenting teens relationally

Teenagers, they get a lot of bad press. Seemingly overnight your once sweet, adoring children become moody, self-obsessed and defiant. We, as parents, can feel cut off and helpless, wondering what if anything we should or could do. This new group for parents of teens, led by Dr Clare Gates, Dr Bettina Hohnen and Jenny Peters will help you understand how your teen’s brain works and give you the space, together with other parents, to discover more about how to connect with your teenager.

Dr Clare Gates is a  consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, a medical doctor specialising in child and adolescent mental health. http://www.drclaregates.com

Dr Bettina Hohnen is a clinical psychologist with over twenty years experience of working with children, young people and families. She has both an academic and clinical background and works as a lecturer whilst also working therapeutically with children and adolescents who are struggling. http://www.drbettinahohnen.com

Jenny Peters worked as a child protection social worker before setting up The Centre. She has 15 years experience of running groups for parents and couples.
